ROUND 1: Problem Statement Selection
From 25th Aug to 8th Sep 2022
In this phase, the participants can get registered as a team of 4-5 members and submit their ideas on any given problem statement of their choice. The teams are expected to submit their ideas in a neat and orderly format. It can be either a PDF, word, or presentation format. Once the Round 1 ends on 10th Sep 2022, organizing team will get back to them with their result by 11th Sep 2022.
ROUND 2: Idea Presentation
From 9th Sep to 10th Sep 2022
In this round, the teams that have been selected after Round -1 will have to get ready with a idea presentation. Shortlisted Teams going to present Idea and solution how they are going to solve the problem statement through Hybrid mode (At Vignan'IIT or Online Meeting). This prototype can be a short demo of how their end product will actually work and help the end user of their chosen domain. - After Round 2 ends, the teams will be shortlisted to 25-30 teams as the finalists of the AGRI-HACK-2022 hackathon.
- The teams will be notified of the result by 12th September 2022. The selected teams will need to report to Vignan's Institute of Information Technology, for the final round of the hackathon to implement their project.
ROUND 3: FINALS IMPLEMENTATION PHASE
From 14th Sep to 15th Sep 2022
The Shortlisted teams are going improve the outcome based on the inputs given during Judging round. Based on the above judging rounds, the Top teams from the finalists will be selected to give a presentation of their project.
During this HACKATHON:
- Judging round 1 will take place on September 14th(VISTA day 1) around 3:30 p.m. - 5:30p.m
- Judging round 2 will take place once the hackathon ends (VISTA day 2) which is from 10 a.m.-12 p.m
- Based on the above judging rounds, the Top 10 teams from the finalists will be selected to give a presentation of their project.
The moto of this hackathon is to have effective practices in the teaching and learning process and also innovative practices to enhance it.
The event provides a platform to share effective strategies for teaching specific disciplines and promote interaction between faculty of different engineering colleges to build learning communities and undertake joint research.
It also encourages the faculty to share innovative and effective practices for enhancing the quality of learning.
Hackathons allow you to gain soft skills such as Teamwork, communication, and leadership as we have to work as a team of different innovative minds. And it has been noted to have a positive effect on students' performance and skill perfection.
This Hackathon allows the individual to introduce their skills which helps to demonstrate their ability to undertake alternative skills which improve their value.
And even Hackathon also helps to deliver a competitive spirit among the students which is vital towards establishing the hierarchy.
Hackathons are a great way to collaborate with the other developers while building towards a goal. Nevertheless, due to the constant flux of opinions, innovation, and the collaboration of different people from peers to experts in the Hackathon, you can enhance your creativity over time.
Sustaining innovation is possible only if those in leadership roles are able to embody the mindset of constant adaptation, curiosity, and resilience, With Hackathon, you're given the freedom to rapidly develop ideas without the constraints of a corporate mindset.
